Moscow city police have released footage of one of two leopards caught on June 1 in Moscow. The animals were found walking freely in a Moscow neighborhood before being captured by police. They have been taken away from their owners, who reportedly don't possess the required permits to keep them. The leopards will be kept at a wild animal center until an investigation into the incident is concluded. Specialists from the Russian Academy of Sciences took hair samples from the cats to determine whether they belong to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
