Thousands of activists marched in downtown Sao Paulo on Friday to decry a Brazilian judge's decision to rescind the nearly 20-year-long ban on “Gay Conversion Therapy.” The streets of the metropolis heaved with LGBTI demonstrators wrapped in Rainbow flags, carrying placards reading "Love is not the disease, it's the cure!" and "Love without fear/Temer", in reference to Brazilian President Michel Temer. Scuffles erupted between protesters and police leading to the arrest of several people.
