Protesting Uber drivers create long traffic jam in Paris

Uber drivers and drivers from Alternative Mobilite Transport (AMT) protested against tightening controls on independent chauffeurs and private hire drivers in Paris, Wednesday. The drivers formed a huge car convoy through the French capital and beeped their horns, with some attaching French flags to their vehicles and carrying signs condemning Prime Minister Manuel Valls' plans. Following last week’s violent taxi driver strike, Valls promised to enforce laws to protect them by tightening restrictions on private chauffeur companies.
