Brazil have arrived in Kazan ahead of their World Cup quarter-final meeting with Belgium in the city on Friday.

The Brazilian players were met by a raucous crowd of fans outside the team hotel. Players including Neymar, Philippe Coutinho and Willian could be seen giving a thumbs-up as they departed the team bus, with a lively crowd chanting and waving yellow and green balloons.

Brazil have moved from their World Cup base of Sochi as they enter the latter stages of the tournament.

They tweeted a thank-you note for the city on the Black Sea coast as they departed after more than two weeks at their base.

The five-times winners set up a quarter-final against Belgium by beating Mexico 2-0 in Samara, thanks to goals from Neymar and Roberto Firmino.

Belgium head into the game after securing a thrilling 3-2 comeback win against Japan.

The local mayor in Kazan, Ilsur Metshin, has offered Neymar a piece of land in the region if he scores a hat-trick against Belgium.

"We want to invent something special,” the mayor said, TASS reported.

If he [Neymar] scores a hat-trick we will find a sponsor to give him a piece of land. Could you imagine what a buzz it would be to live next door to Neymar?

Neymar has two goals from four games so far in Russia.
