Ambulances race to scene of blast at pro-Kurdish opposition party rally in Turkey

An explosionat a Kurdish opposition party rally in Diyarbakir, Friday, has killed two and injured up to 100 people just days before parliamentary elections. The cause of the explosion has not been verified but Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has ordered an investigation into the nature of the blast. Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz suggested that the blast was no accident. The Kurdish People's Democracy Party (HDP) is attempting to become the first Kurdish party in Turkey's history after passing the 10 percent threshold of votes required to take seats in parliament.
