Thousands of pro-life activists came out for ‘The All Ireland Rally for Life’ march in Dublin on Saturday. The march, which was organized by Life Institute, Youth Defence, and the Northern Ireland group Precious Life, called for preserving the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution, which forbids abortion in the State of Ireland. In Gardai’s estimates, between 10,000 and 20,000 took part in the march. At least 200 protesters from pro-choice groups, including People Before Profit Alliance, stood on either side of the street with banners reading ‘Need abortion Ireland’ as the rally passed by.
