A huge fire raged in a migrant camp in northern France near the city of Dunkirk on Monday, reportedly injuring at least 10 people. A regional official said the site was burned to ashes.
It is believed that the blaze started after fighting broke out between Afghans and Kurds on Monday afternoon. Approximately 1,500 people were being sheltered at the Grande-Synthe camp at the time. Many arrived there after the Calais ‘Jungle’ camp was shut down last October. One of the refugees told RT how the fire has affected him.
