Some revelers scuffled with police as hundreds of Japanese 20-year-olds celebrated Coming of Age Day in Okinawa’s Naha district in Japan on Sunday. Young men and women dressed in kimonos were heading for the ceremony, when some reportedly drunk participants scuffled with the police.
Japan’s Coming of Age Day honors those who have reached the age of majority (20 years old), when youngsters are legally permitted to smoke, drink, and vote.
