Iron Sword 2016: NATO wraps up joint military drills in Lithuania

NATO military exercises dubbed ‘Iron Sword 2016’ wrapped up on Friday in Pabrade and Rukla, Lithuania. Over 4,000 military personnel from 11 NATO countries took part in the drills, which began on November 20. Led by the Lithuanian Armed Forces, participants from Estonia, the US, the UK, Canada, Latvia, Poland, Luxembourg, Romania, Slovenia, and Germany practiced urban combat, which involved armored vehicles, smoke grenades, and breaching a stronghold.
