Thousands of protesters gathered in Syntagma Square in front of Greek parliament on Sunday, to rally against austerity. This was a day before Eurozone finance ministers are due to gather in Brussels to discuss the country's financial situation. The demonstration, which drew supporters of Syriza, Antarsya, trade union ADEDY, among others, saw protesters carrying banners with slogans such as "No scacrifice for the Euro' and ''NO to poverty, NO to unemployment, NO to euro'. Greece is due to pay International Monetary Fund €1.6 billion ($1.8 billion) by June 30. Unless the government can reach a deal with its international creditors, the country risks debt default.
