Local forces re-took control of the Banda Aceh prison in the province of Aceh, Indonesia on Thursday, after a group of rioting inmates destroyed parts of the building. Unrest began when three inmates refused to be transferred to another jail. Other prisoners became annoyed and started multiple fires. After retaking control of the facility, officers surrounded the detainees and guarded them. Firefighters extinguished the fire but several rooms had been destroyed by the blaze.
