On Tuesday, nearly 5,000 soldiers marched through Red Square in memory of the parade held on November 7, 1941. Back then, the USSR was several months into the war with the Nazi Germany and the Soviet troops, after marching through the center of Moscow, headed straight to the frontline. This year, some of the parade participants were dressed in WWII uniforms while others wore the uniforms of the 1812 war with Napoleon.
