Russian carrier 'Admiral Kuznetsov' takes part in strikes on terrorists in Syria – MoD

Sukhoi Su-33 fighter jets were launched from the Russian ‘Admiral Kuznetsov’ carrier on Tuesday, as part of a large-scale operation against terrorists stationed in the Homs and Idlib provinces of Syria, according to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu. It was the first time the ‘Admiral Kuznetsov’, the flagship of the Russian Navy, currently stationed in the Mediterranean, had taken part in a combat mission.
