Thousands protest against same-sex marriage in Paris

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Paris on Sunday to march against same-sex marriages. The participants held flags and placards reading “A father and a mother – it's hereditary” and “In 2017, I will vote for the family.” Police estimated the crowd at 24,000, while according to organizer of the march, La Manif pour Tous (LMPT) movement, the protest attracted around 200,000 people. The French parliament approved a bill legalizing same-sex marriage and adoption in 2013.
