Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin unveiled the Moscow Ring Railway, an overground rail system aimed at reducing passenger traffic on the Moscow Metro, on Saturday. The new line will be integrated with the Moscow underground system and will be free for use by Metro ticket holders during its first month of operations. The Moscow Ring Railway includes 31 operating stations, 26 of which were opened on Saturday. An additional five are expected to open by the end of the year.
