A fire broke out on metro railway tracks in Harlem, New York, on Tuesday, causing a suspension in service. The blaze started at the beginning of the morning rush hour underneath the Metro-North train station. It reportedly began when a trailer caught alight, igniting propane inside. Thick columns of smoke could be seen rising from under the station. Three metro lines, as well as service in and out of Grand Central Station, were affected and thousands of passengers were stranded, waiting for the resumption of service.
