The Russian military conducted drills on a training field in Nakhabino, Moscow region, involving an Uran-6 robotic mine clearing system before their departure to Palmyra, Syria. The vehicle has various mine-sweepers, which allow servicemen to not only find and destroy the mines, but also identify them. Soldiers also had final metal detecting training and practiced using sniffer dogs.
