Thousands of public sector workers joined a national strike on Tuesday, coloring the streets of the Argentinian capital with green smoke flares and bringing various flags and drums. The demonstrators rallied against Argentinian President Mauricio Macri's proposed review of public contracts in January and possible job losses. The crowd created a festive atmosphere in front of the Ministry of Work, Employment and Social Justice, making it the first public workers' strike since the new president took office on December 10.
