Law enforcement officers from Nepal celebrated the second day of the 'Yama Panchak' festival devoted to the god of death, at the Central Police Dog Training Center in Kathmandu on Tuesday. The second day of the event is called 'Kukur Tihar' where dogs are worshipped as protectors of the home. Officers put costumes and flowers on the canines and treated them with delicious food. The five-day festival 'Yama Panchak' is annually celebrated among Hindu communities in Nepal. The event shows reverence to the god of death and such animals as the crow, dog, cow and the ox.
