Protesters march over PM Abe's war bill in Tokyo

Thousands of protesters gathered in Hibiya Park, Tokyo, on Friday to protest against Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and recent security bills, proposed by the Abe government. The protesters marched some 1.4 miles around the the Ginza district chanting and carrying placards reading "Smash fascism! Abe out!" Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has vowed to enact laws aimed at bolstering Japan's security stance amid a territorial dispute with China. The new legislation allows the Japanese military to deploy troops abroad for the first time since 1945.
