Ukrainian nationalists marched through the streets of Cherkassy on Sunday to show their support for the suspected murderers of slain journalist Oleg Buzina. The participants marched under the banner of “Freedom to patriots,” and went through the town chanting, waving Ukrainian flags and lighting smoke flares. Buzina, a prominent critic of the current Ukrainian government, was shot dead in April. The suspects in the murder, Denis Polishchuk and Andrey Medvedko, who are allegedly connected with the ultranationalist Right Sector movement, were arrested in June and are currently behind bars.
