Clashes erupted between security forces and protesters in Port-au-Prince on Saturday, after thousands marched against Haitian President Michel Martelly over fuel prices. The protesters were dispersed with tear gas. Earlier in the week, public transportation drivers began a two-day strike over the cost of fuel in Port-au-Prince. The government recently announced a decrease of 15 gourdes ($0.32/€0.28) per litre of gas and 10 gourdes ($0.21/€0.19) on kerosene.
