New Year special: 2019 observations (E312)

It has been another tumultuous year both nationally and internationally. Brexit dominated the domestic picture with meaningful votes melting into meaningless ones and the year culminating in a landslide election victory for the conservative government, remarkable in that they had already been in power for nine years.

Internationally, Sputnik looked at alternative narratives and stories often forgotten or buried by the mainstream media: from coups to incarcerations as well as high visibility demonstrations with low visibility coverage. So, we looked back at the many guests who passed through the Sputnik studio and their very prescient predictions, in order to help look forward to 2020.
