Speaking the truth and riding economic storms (E307)

These days, speaking one’s mind is becoming an expensive activity on both sides of the Atlantic. Are we heading towards a new and dangerous age when it comes to the freedom to speak, report and tell the truth? If you’re Julian Assange, the answer is already as clear as it is grim. To discuss the legal and physical fate of Julian Assange and how his plight impacts the ability of journalists to speak truth to power, we invited into the Sputnik studio independent journalist Vaughan Smith.
