‘Stanford’s case will open a hornet’s nest’

The case of Allen Stanford will open a hornet’s nest says Wayne Madsen, a Washington-based investigative journalist and columnist.

A U.S. billionaire is under investigation for committing an alleged $US 8 billion financial fraud scheme.

Stanford, who's fortune is estimated at $US 2.2 billion, operates businesses in the U.S., Europe and in the Caribbean.

He has also donated money to politicians, including Barack Obama.
