Meet Brad Pitt… in Siberia

The star of “Troy” has been spotted on the street of the Siberian city of Omsk in broad daylight.

One of the world’s highest paid actors, Brad Pitt, is currently standing on a highway transfixed like a statue.

As a matter of fact, upon closer viewing Pitt turns out to be firmly rooted to the ground.

A mannequin of the Hollywood macho man wearing a Russian traffic police uniform has been placed on the street in Omsk in the hope that it will cut the number of accidents on the dangerous road section.

According to local traffic police, Pitt looks so real and authentic that upon seeing him on the road, drivers reduce their speed in order to shake hands with the star.

Head of the traffic police Dmitry Zaryanov told Komsomolskaya Pravda daily “there are many dangerous spots in Omsk, but a shortage of policemen. We had to improvise.”

And so they did. An average traffic inspector of medium height has been chosen for the role of the plastic road policeman. However, instead of showing the face of a real inspector, traffic policemen in Omsk asked manufacturers of the copycat Brad to take somebody from the outside to maintain their privacy.

It costs $113 dollars to make one mannequin featuring Brad Pitt. One wonders how much Brad would get were he to sue for damages against his new employers in Siberia?
