Most dollar bills used to snort coke – study

A recent study showed that nearly 9 out of 10 dollar bills carry traces of cocaine, reports Christine Dell’Amore, a journalist with National Geographic News.

Scientists headed by professor Yuegang Zuo from the University of Massachusetts analyzed 234 $1 bank notes from 17 cities in the U.S. The study showed that Washington, Baltimore, Detroit and Boston had the most cocaine-tainted bills, while Salt Lake City had the least.
