2 dead, 43 injured in horror crash between school bus and truck in New Jersey (VIDEO, PHOTOS)
A dramatic crash between a school bus and a dump truck on Interstate 80 in New Jersey has left two dead and 43 people injured and completely destroyed the bus.
The bus was carrying middle school students from the town of Paramus when the incident took place. Photos and videos from the scene of the incident show the body of the bus was ripped from its chassis. The front of the bus has also been completely destroyed. The dump truck was mostly intact.
Governor Phil Murphy told a news conference that the bus was carrying 38 students and seven adults, including the driver. "Some patients are in critical condition and currently undergoing surgery, so please keep everybody in your prayers," Murphy added, confirming two fatalities - a student and a teacher.
"We had every injury type that you can imagine for a scenario like this. It's tragic," said Morris County Office Of Emergency Management Director Jeff Paul. "The children were all over, outside."

The bus was carrying students from Eastbrook Middle School in Paramus on a field trip to a nearby historic village, officials said. Authorities said details of the crash were not being released pending an investigation.
