Police launch helicopter hunt for cow sex attacker
“Police were called at 7:18am to Denham Way in Maple Cross, to reports that a man was committing a sexual act on a cow,” a spokesman for the Hertfordshire Constabulary said.
“Officers attended and a search was conducted, which included the police helicopter, however, no one was located.”
The man was described as Asian and in his mid-20s, wearing an old-looking green shell-type jacket. He was also believed to be around 6ft tall, with short black hair and slim build.
“Enquires are on-going and anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C2/17/1357,” the police staffer added.
A string of puns quickly unraveled in the comment section of the Watford Observer, which originally reported the story, with one jester suggesting they had now “HERD everything.”
“How Dairy,” added another.
But not everyone was pleased with readers of the paper milking the puns, with one person suggesting the “seriousness” of the crime was not being taken into account.
