Russian defends darts world crown

Russian darts queen Anastasia Dobromyslova, has successfully defended her crown at the BDO World Darts Championship and established herself as the dominant force in the sport.

The 28 year old edged the local favourite Lisa Ashton 2-1 in the final held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley, England.En route to the final the Russian second seed knocked out another strong Brit, Tina Gulliver, nicknamed the Golden Girl. It was a rematch of their semi-final clash 12 months ago, the win proved to be a good omen for the Russian.It is the third BDO title in Dobromyslova’s trophy cabinet, after she lifted the trophy back in 2008 and 2012.
