Bolivian coup and China deal? (E306)

It’s a coup, it’s an uprising, it’s a regime change! Latin America is back in the international headlines but not necessarily for the right reasons. Bolivia’s President Evo Morales has fled his country as the opposition takes power. Who was and who is President Morales? What is Bolivia’s future and who are the country’s new rulers? Isaac Bigio is Peruvian with a Haitian background who was educated in Bolivia. He is a part of the Latin-American community in London.  So, who better to ask about the ongoing turbulence in the Americas?!

China and the US are the world’s most powerful countries; some say they are on an irreversible collision course, but others say that cooperation is both possible and even attainable.  Can the art of the deal save China-US relations or should the world prepare for a new cold war?  To set the record straight, we spoke to journalist, China specialist, and author of 'U.S. vs China: From Trade War to Reciprocal Deal' Thomas W. Pauken II who joined Sputnik direct from Beijing.
