Interview with Evgeny Minchenko

Published 12 Dec, 2007 16:49 | Updated 12 Dec, 2007 19:49

To discuss the power balance between Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev as possibly Russia's two highest ranking officials Evgeny Minchenko, Director of International Institute for Political Expertise, joined RT in the studio.

“I guess it will be a group leadership – not Putin and Medvedev only. I guess it will be a group of 10, maybe 15 people – the President, the Prime Minister, key ministers and heads of big state corporations,” the expert said.

“Medvedev is not a president now. We have to wait for the election result. Putin can say something like that ”it's a good proposal, we will think it over. It is possible.“ But the final decision will be known I guess in May 2008 only,” concluded  Minchenko.
