Ford`s Russian plant resumes production after strike
Ford restarted production at its factory near St Petersburg Wednesday, as assembly line staff began to return to work.
The plant is the largest foreign-owned car factory in the country, but had been at a standstill since industrial action started last week.
Ford will run one shift a day, with those workers who want to return, after talks with the trade union on Monday failed to stop the strike.
The union wants wage increases of around 30%, on top of wages averaging around $US870 a month.
