Flame-throwing Russian barber sets client’s hair alight in name of fashion (VIDEO)

Russia is perfecting what is literally the hottest trend in hair styling with a St Petersburg barber putting his client in the line of fire – because he’s worth it.

Video from Alexander Menshikov’s barbers in St Petersburg shows one cool customer sitting in the salon chair as Menshikow works his magic, exposing an open flame above the client’s hair as he styles it.

The Russian hairdresser claims that this technique of fire cutting helps to banish “choppy hair tips."

“It makes the haircut more dynamic, not just smooth and slick," Menshikow said.

The fire friendly barber admits the hot haircut is not for everyone. “It is more for those who have already tried various haircuts and want to try something new or somehow tickle their own nerves,” he said.

The tradition of fire barbing is not new but appears to be growing in popularity around the globe.

In February footage of a Palestinian barber ‘fire cutting’ garnered worldwide attention.
