If you think you’re having a bad day, then maybe check out this little fish which somehow managed to get itself trapped inside a jellyfish. He looks pretty upset about it too.

Marine photographer Tim Samuel managed to capture the moment while swimming at The Pass in Byron Bay off Australia’s east coast in December, but the photo only went viral after he posted it online this week.

I found a fish inside a jellyfish! He was trapped in there, but controlled where the jellyfish was moving

“I found a fish inside a jellyfish,” Samuel wrote on Instagram“He was trapped in there, but controlled where the jellyfish was moving.”

Although able to maintain some control over the direction the jellyfish was going, Samuel told CNET that the fish was “unable to back itself out.”

"The fish was able to propel the jellyfish forward and controlled its movement to an extent,” he explained. “The jellyfish threw it off-balance though, and they would wobble around, and sometimes get stuck doing circles.”

Samuel said he did contemplate helping the fish escape as he “felt bad for it”, but ultimately “just let nature run its course.”

Samuel has posted numerous incredible photos of life underwater to his Instagram account and on his website, including amazing close-ups of turtles and eagle rays.
