Trial of father of tragic tot begins
In the US, the trial has begun in the case of a father accused of causing the death of his Russian-born son who he’d adopted and taken to the US.
Miles Harrison faces an involuntary manslaughter charge following the death by heat exhaustion of the 21 month-old baby.
The child was found dead in July after being locked for several hours in his father's car amid searing temperatures.
Medical experts say the air inside the car could have reached more than 50 degrees.
Harrison told police he’d forgotten to drop his son off at the kindergarten as planned and left him unattended by mistake.
