Interview with Evgeny Khrushchev

The resignation of Admiral William Fallon, America's top commander in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars has been called “a loss for the country” by the U.S. Congress. RT’s military analyst Evgeny Khrushchev commented on the news.

He mentions the idea that the resignation was caused by Admiral Fallon’s disagreement with Defense Secretary Robert Gates’ strategy for the two wars.

Krushchev also believes the replacement for the job could be General David Petraeus, who is now in command of the counter-insurgency campaign in Iraq.

If this comes true, it would be a clear message to NATO members that the U.S.
