Blood-chilling video shows plane ROLL & PLUNGE INTO GROUND during take-off at Fullerton airport
Footage showing the terrifying moment when a small plane crashed during a failed takeoff attempt, at Fullerton Municipal Airport in Southern California, has surfaced online. The pilot was killed in the horrific incident.
The video shows the moment when Robert Ellis, 48, lost control of his Beechcraft B60 Duke when trying to lift off from the runway of the airfield. The small plane can be seen rolling to the left while at an altitude of about 5-10 meters and crashing into the tarmac. A powerful explosion then engulfs the aircraft, leaving the pilot with no chance of survival.
The incident happened on Thursday last week at about 7:50pm local time. The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating the incident and has not yet reported on the cause.
