Worst US rail disasters since the turn of the century (PHOTOS)

The US is counting the cost of its latest rail disaster in Hoboken, New Jersey which has reportedly claimed one life and injured up to 100 others.

There has been a series of deadly crashes in the US; from a suicide attempt which resulted in the death of 11 people, to a horrific chemical spill in South Carolina.

RT.com takes a look back at the most serious rail accidents that rocked local communities and the US rail network since 2000.
