British Muslim receives ‘death threats’ from ISIS supporters
Mufassil Islam, 49, published a video attacking IS (formerly ISIS/ISIL) after the jihadist group killed 130 people in Paris last week.
He lashed out at those trying to impose Sharia law on the West.
“If you don’t like this country, why the f*** did you come?” he asked.
The YouTube video, which attracted tens and thousands of views, appears to have been seen by IS supporters.
On Monday, the lawyer-turned-academic revealed he has received death threats from British youngsters who support IS.
“I am getting death threats from British kids ... British Bangladeshi kids, or Asian kids, they are born and bred here. They support ISIS,” he told the Mail Online.
The father-of-two said he will continue to speak out against extremism and radicalization despite the threats.
“It has spread so much and so far – if you do not challenge it, it will be a point of no return. This is a virus, and the virus is dangerous now,” he told the paper.
“The British government have no clue what is going on. I’ve written letters [warning them], but there is no response. I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall,” he added.
