50 years since Soviet first-ever yachting Olympic gold

A major yachting event has been held just outside Moscow to mark the 50th anniversary of the country's first-ever Olympic Gold in the discipline.

Timir Pinegin was the man behind the Soviet Union's success in the Star class Competition at the Rome Games back in 1960.

Now 83, he's still active in the sport, heading a foundation aimed at reviving yachting in Russia.

RT caught up with the man and his old friend and rival, who spoke about the old times and the sport's future.
