British PM Theresa May has again spoken of her pride in English football, hailing the game for "inspiring" her, after earlier claiming to make a comeback akin to Liverpool's Champions League revival against Barcelona.
After Liverpool overcame a 3-0 first leg deficit at the hands of Barcelona in their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday, May pledged to make a 'comeback' of her own in Brexit negotiations with the EU.

Liverpool's Premier League rivals Tottenham then staged a miraculous comeback of their own one night later to also reach the final, and when Chelsea and Arsenal both made it through to the Europa League final on Thursday, it became the first time the finals of Europe's two club competitions featured only English teams.
In honor of the achievement, May posted a video to Twitter on Saturday of herself having a kick around with a group of children, with the caption: "It’s been a historic week for English football, with Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea inspiring children, adults, Prime Ministers..."
Whether English football can inspire May to a comeback in Europe remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: each of the four side's 50/50 chance of victory would probably be snapped up by the PM.
