Golf legend Tiger Woods arrested on suspicion of drunk driving
US golfer Tiger Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on Monday morning.
Woods, 41, was arrested in the town of Jupiter, Florida, in the early hours of Monday morning.
He was taken to Palm Beach County Jail and later released at 10:50am.
Woods, a 14-time major winner, has been plagued by injury in recent seasons. The former world number one has seen his ranking plummet to 876, and a number of attempted comebacks have stalled.
He is no stranger to controversy off the golf course, however, most notably being involved in a very public split with his then-wife Elin Nordegren in 2009.
