Trump’s state visit and an iconic Palestinian (E283)

His trousers didn’t fall down neither did he spill his soup over the queen. And so, to a limited extent, President Trump can deem his royal visit a success. He didn’t see the tens of thousands demonstrating against him, but he did see the tens of hundreds showing him their love and affection. He knows Boris Johnson well enough, and Nigel Farage too. So, to discuss the funny business of Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK, we invited the cleverest man in England, Adam Garrie.

She has become a Palestinian icon, her name and face are known throughout the world, but for her and her family there has been a high price for to pay for this fame and high-visibility, including imprisonment, torture, and even killing. Ahed Tamimi’s main crime was to attract attention to a conflict in the occupied West Bank which most want to keep quiet. We welcomed her into the Sputnik studio.
