The Russian army takes full control of the Azov steelworks in Mariupol, marking an end to almost three months of siege. A former French soldier, who's been volunteering as a medical worker in Ukraine, cries foul over Western attempts to legitimize far-right Ukrainian troops who are being supplied with weapons from NATO countries. Russian and Donbass forces are about to take complete control of the territories of the Lugansk Republic. That's according to Russia’s Defense Minister, who says Moscow is doing everything it can to protect civilians there.
