Ukraine: Heading East

Some of the refugees used humanitarian corridors, and others waited for the Russian soldiers to come and help. The rest chose to risk their lives and look for the way out on their own. All of them found shelter in Russia. Russian volunteers, psychologists, priests help them settle, put their children in school, and recover from eight years of shelling and constant danger. So why did Ukraine claim the region, while at the same time, it wanted to destroy it?
