SCRAMBLING to protect our data from big tech

Holland Cooke talks shop with investigative journalist Ben Swann about the COLOSSAL market for our data which is being propelled by tech giants like Facebook, Amazon, and Google. With social media now a mainstay in our society and devices equipped with microphones flooding our homes, there still exist tools for users to prevent companies from accessing and distributing their personal information.

In commemoration of our 100th episode, Holland Cooke reprises hot-button issues with a whole gallery of guests that have appeared on the show. Topics highlight many of the missteps we’ve witnessed in a world gone awry, including:

Monsanto’s P.R. NIGHTMARE with glyphosate
Ever-growing plastic and air pollution rates
Ongoing scarcity of clean water in Flint, MI
Broadening government and private surveillance of citizens
Fiery frictions between the US and Iran
