The Police, the drummer and the spy (E356)

Stewart Copeland is known throughout the world as the drummer from the legendary rock band 'The Police'. But there is another side to his story which reads like a James Bond novel.

Copeland spent his formative years growing up in the Middle East, and he joined a very special edition of Sputnik, from his home in California, to tell us of assassination attempts, double agents and plots to overthrow governments – not your average childhood, unless your dad is a CIA spy.

Sputnik Orbiting the World, looking behind the stories which made the news, as well as unearthing the ones that didn’t. Expect debate and discussion between George Galloway and authoritative, influential, but most importantly, informed guests. Topics may differ from politics to social concerns, but Sputnik will remain true to its aim – bringing a new perspective, a different view.
