It's often said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but hundreds of studies across decades show that most beholders view beauty similarly. And that slips into all facets of a person's life – from the way a kid is treated in school to his or her success in the labor or marriage markets. It's pretty clear that beauty is an advantage but is it really an unfair or a superficial one?
