Guillaume Rivaud is a French actor of note though surprisingly more on this side of the Channel where French is sometimes lost in translation. He smouldered in Poldark, he’s even explored Lawrence after Arabia and he’s shivered in ‘Homeless Ashes’, the brilliant forthcoming project of Marc Zammit. He has even played King Arthur. He’s made his home in England, so, we invited him into the studio to tell us not only about his professional life, but also life after Brexit as well as giving his take on the French political psyche.
Virtually nobody in Britain travelled behind the Iron Curtain, though virtually everybody had a point of view about it – usually a negative one. But what was it really like to live there? It appears good and bad and actually just like everywhere else. At least that’s the point of view of author Zsuzsanna Clark, who grew up in Hungary and has written about it in her new book ‘Goulash and Solidarity’.
